In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of banned practices and terrifying transformations reverberate through the shadows." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.

The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Additional Material

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an special katana alongside several artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
